Allegory of Winter and Spring

Carwed wood Louis XV , 18th century

"Allegory of Winter and Spring"

Splendid sculpture in high relief on a thick wooden panel lacquered with imitation white statuary marble.
It represents two full-length children who personify the two seasons.
The cold boy with his hands folded on his chest wears a fur coat over his shirt and a cap on his head, warms up near the fire.
The girl, naked with her hair tied up and portrayed in profile, holds a rich composition of flowers.
The marble effect is very realistic and is very decorative on the wall.
We emphasize the excellent quality of the sculpted, well cared for and extremely elegant.

The conditions of the work are very good without restorations and remakes.
