A 16th-century Venetian canvas depicting the faces of Saints Peter and Paul with Saint Charles Borromeo, in an intense, hieratic expression.
The three great saints of the Church are portrayed slightly in profile, their eyes turned upward, clearly seeking divine contact.
Despite the presence of signs of aging, which are now completely consolidated, the work is of great stylistic elegance and conveys powerful suggestions.
The three figures are executed with great skill in male portraiture, typical of the Venetian Renaissance masters, including the artist of the canvas.
We issue a stamped and signed certificate of authenticity guaranteeing the period, provenance, and all the characteristics of the work, drawn up by a FIMA (Italian Federation of Art Dealers) affiliated antique dealer.
